Habitat: Upland.

This yellow and white flower with purplish leaves, stems, and bracts is found both in scattered location and in masses. It used to be named Orthocarpus bidwelliae in honor of Annie Bidwell, one of the founders of the city of Chico. It is also sometimes called Butter-and-Eggs.
